This is another move by VDOT that makes very little sense to me as trucks are already using Rt. 15 for the very purpose that they want to create this road. Let’s keep the countryside green.

I couldn’t tell you if we were.
I just heard about a small tract of land selling in the $650,000 price range and while that might not sound big, that would signify a change in direction or “shifting winds” of the real estate market. We’ll soon see.

Loads of information exists onthese sites and it offers and excellent way for the public to educate themselves on the area and evaluate the market. In no way do they replace the the realtor but they definately add to the manifold of tools we can offer.

I know it’s bad to see these articles popping up but there’s no need to deny dreadful real estate conditions around the country. Charlottesville/Middleburg/Tidewater are by no means “recession-proof”. They are cyclical and forclosures hitting highs and market stagnation means one thing. It is an excellent time to find value.

There are many articles in favor of buying real estate, we’ve seen them for years. I’ll post a couple of other ones as to why it’s not a good time to buy. As I always say, “If you like the property, buy it before someone else does.” It was line that worked better in times of more liberal spending habits but it still holds true for many clients. We’re not driven to buy land or farm and estate property by the movement of the herd. Opportunity is most always found by swimming up river. That’s what I’m seeing time and again, a lot of fear and great opportunity.
